Disaster Dashboard
Communities across Southwest Virginia depend on United Way of Southwest Virginia to quickly mobilize to meet immediate needs and assist in long-term recovery after disaster strikes.
United Way of Southwest Virginia has the capacity, experience, and working relationships to provide the resources needed for relief and recovery. We are currently working to serve those affected in multiple communities of four counties in our service area.
The UWSWVA Disaster Dashboard will help update the progress as crews work to rebuild across Southwest Virginia.
Those areas include the Whitewood community of Buchanan County, Wise County, & Dickenson County from a flooding event in July of 2022. We also continue to serve the Hurley community of Buchanan County after the devastating flooding of August 2021.
